Self Build Land

Buying self build land is one of the first and the most important stages for a self builder planning a self build home. Land for sale is often purchased by property developers as soon as it is on the market, so it can be hard work. Single plots of self build land are often required by a self builder and can be hard to come by.

There are a range of sources to locate building land. Land agents could well be the saviour of the self builder - buying larger plots that may usually be bought up by the property developers, but they divide them and sell them individually.

Estate Agents, Local Papers, web sites and magazines are alternative sources for building land. Possible plots of land could be part of large gardens or land with derelict buildings on.
