I own a 3.5 acre parcel of land in Crockenhill near Swanley, Kent which I am now considering selling.

This is a 3.5 acre plot with substantial 100m main road frontage to the west (B258). The plot is also flanked on three sides by residential housing making this plot suitable for infill development subject to presenting the right argument to Sevenoaks Planners.

Ten years ago Berkley Homes in conjunction with the North British Housing Association were able to get the backing of the local council and got to the detailed planning stage. They were able to establish (local need ) for fifty houses to be built. Also they were able to make a highways planning gain by making safe a notorious blind bend as you enter Crockenhill and made provision for a recreational area.

Unfortunately the property slump in the early nineties put a damper on the whole project just before final planning permission was given and it was moth-balled.

Since then many housing associations have made contact with me and have asked Sevenoaks council to re-zone the site as residential as there is an acute local need for housing in the area and no other sites are available so close to existing development. This process is pending but seems to be taking a long time and I need to move the project on.

Recently Westminster Government has declared an urgent need for such housing to be built in this area of Kent, in light of this I am now seeking to revive the project.

If you are interested in viewing the land which is located in green court road, opposite the school and between existing developments, one being owned by the North British Housing Association.
